ASUS X542UN

ASUS added a new configuration to their range of Laptops, with the release of the ASUS X542UN on 2/10/2018. It's possible there might may be others we haven't discovered, but we've identified 3 variants for this model. The configurations are X542UN-DM174, X542UN-DM175, and the X542UN-GQ142. The ASUS X542UN could come in a few different colour options, but we don't currently have the data to tell you what is available.

There are the i5-8250U, and i7-7500U processor models inside the ASUS X542UN, so you have options. These processors have a max base frequency of 1.60 GHz, 2.70 GHz, leveraging four cores of processing power, and can use a boosted processor frequency up to 3.5GHz ready for you, with 6 MB in total of cache, that's there, and Kaby Lake R, Kaby Lake being another nickname for the processor.

The memory offers as large as 8 GB ram inside.

There's only the one screen available and that is a backlit Full HD, HD 15.6 inch screen.This model has a display that comes in just the single pixel display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel, 1366 x 768 pixel. There could be one, but based on what we know, we don't believe there's a touch screen configuration available.

The ASUS X542UN does leverage discrete graphics. The discrete gpu is a NVIDIA GeForce MX150. There's a Intel UHD Graphics 620, Intel HD Graphics 620 onboard video card, with 300 MHz of base frequency, and 1100 MHz, 1050 MHz of max graphics processing frequency. The maximum video ram of 32 GB is usable by the onboard graphics.

1000GB is the total volume of storage that exists for the ASUS X542UN, with Hard Disc hardrive(s) being installed. You're able to plug in memory cards with this model, with SD, SDHC, SDXC cards being accepted.
