ASUS added a new model within the VivoBook line of Laptops, with the release of the ASUS VivoBook X542UQ on 7/5/2017. We currently know of 6 configurations of this model, and those are X542UQ-DM026T, X542UQ-GQ146T, X542UQ-GQ145T, X542UQ-DM071T, X542UQ-DM234T, and the last one is the X542UQ-DM279. We have not been told what colour options the ASUS VivoBook X542UQ comes in.

There are the i5-7200U, i7-7500U, i7-8550U, and the other processor is the i5-8250U processor models inside the ASUS VivoBook X542UQ, so you have options. These processors have a max base frequency of 2.50 GHz, 2.70 GHz, 1.8 GHz, 1.60 GHZ, leveraging 4 cores of processing power, and 4GHz of max boostable frequency, and 8 MB of cache, with this processor also being known as a Kaby Lake, Kaby Lake R.

The memory offers the Laptop 8 GB of DDR4-SDRAM in total, with a clock speed at 2133 MHz.

There's only the single screen purchaseable with that being a 15.6 inch Full HD, high-definition screen.1920x1080 pixel, 1366x768 pixel is the single resolution that is available. There may be one, but based on what we've discovered, we don't believe there's a touch screen version available.
